Your safety has always been our priority, and now that we are able to reopen, we look forward to welcoming you back to Bernstein Center for Visual Performance. To continue our commitment to your wellbeing, here’s what you need to know about the increased safety protocols that we have put in place to protect you and our team during these unpredictable times.
We ask that all patients complete the necessary forms electronically before their appointment. This eliminates the need for the use of pen/paper when you visit us and reduces the time that you’ll need to spend in our office.
When scheduling appointments, our team will complete a health screening in accordance with the recommendations given by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We will ask all patients to monitor their health carefully leading up to their appointment and if they are at all unwell, to call us to postpone their visit.
To minimize the time spent in our office, we will not be using a waiting room for the foreseeable future. Instead, patients will be asked to call the office upon their arrival and wait in their vehicle. Our staff will conduct an additional health screening, and if patients pass, they will be advised when to enter the premises.
Before being able to enter our office, all staff and patients will be asked to complete a mandatory temperature check. Anyone with a fever will be asked to go home and self-isolate in accordance with CDC guidelines.
To help minimize foot traffic and allow more time for sanitation and sterilization of our office and equipment, we have altered our booking schedule so that appointments will take place less frequently.
We have always taken hygiene and patient safety extremely seriously. We have enhanced our usual rigorous sterilization methods to ensure that exam rooms and equipment are meticulously clean and sterile.
For your safety and ours, our staff will be wearing full protective personal equipment when carrying out your appointment. This will include scrubs, masks, gloves and more. If you have any questions about our PPE, don’t hesitate to ask us.
We know how important it is to choose the right frames for your prescription lenses. You want to choose a style that suit your face shape, skin tone and personality. We are now offering patients the opportunity to virtually try on frames ahead of their appointment, which may help you to narrow down your selection. Once you are on the premises, you may try on frames if you wish to. Any frames are thoroughly sanitized every time they are touched.
If you have any questions about the enhanced safety protocols that we have implemented, please don’t hesitate to call us at (914) 682-8886. We look forward to welcoming you back to visit us soon.
